Firefly Restaurant

I haven’t been to Firefly for quite a while and I’ll be sure to not go so long between visits! We had the bruschetta for an appetizer & it was delicious. I had a Raspberry Tease cocktail it was really good. Then I had a Rodeo Burger and holy moly; it was so dang good. I happily opted for Truffle fries …mmm good. My buddy got the Spicy Tuna Sushi and was very satisfied. All around a dang good meal. I’ll be back to choose one of the other several items I was mulling over.

It was the place to be on a Friday night! My husband and I had to wait for a table, but were able to sit at the bar in the back while we waited, which we could have ate at the bar. They had a fun cocktail menu, and a great appetizer selection! We ordered the tuna nachos…. I think the best I’ve ever had! Delicious! I did order a salad for dessert, but the waitress forgot my dressing, and I end up eating my husbands sides while I waited and waited, and then ended up just bringing the salad home. The crispy Brussel sprouts were also amazing! I didn’t think the salad was worth the price. The front of the restaurant was bright and fun. The back by the bar was a lot darker with the black light vibe, hence the weird lighting on my nacho picture.

The service was top notch. Little bit of a wait but that was to be expected considering the time of day we went for dinner Friday night. Great big chunks of chicken in our chicken noodle soup. They went out of their way to make sure my steak was cooked to my satisfaction. I greatly appreciate that. The garlic mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts were cooked to absolute perfection. My daughter enjoyed her sushi and appreciated the customizable of nothing spicy. I loved looking at the water from our table. My strawberry margarita was delicious as well.

Excellent service and great food. I haven’t had this good of service in a long time. Very polite and friendly waitress. I totally forgot her name but she did a wonderful job. The flank steak was kind of small but after two appetizers it was the perfect amount.

Honestly we loved this place. We liked all of our food but we really like the street corn dip, T-bone steak(special), shrimp tempura roll, and the wedge salad. The corn dip we would say is a must try. It came with a healthy amount of chips and dip and was great for the whole table. The t bone steak with a blue cheese and bacon butter was spectacular and was worth the up charge. We got the calamari which was okay it was covered in this spicy sauce which was good but it was too much. The steak udon was okay as well. It just wasnt as good as were hoping. If you are between this and something else I would go for something else. The staff was great and was quick to fill up water and drinks. Overall, we really enjoyed this restaurant and will be back.

This ended up being our destination for lunch today because the three others that we checked out did not work for us. SO glad they didn't! This was an excellent find! Great atmosphere and service. We ordered the potstickers and the steak skewers with sweet potato fries. Both were outstanding and a 9/10! There were so many other delicious looking options on the menu. If you are in the Traverse City area Firefly is an excellent option. You won’t be disappointed.
